organic/conventional is not the be-all end-all of sustainability. plenty of organic farms are just as big as conventional farms, and the food they grow is packed and shipped just the same. if your intent is to get fresher, more sustainable produce, buying organic will not always help. and I’d say you’re far, far better off buying local produce, even if it’s not organic.
